STRENGTH

I have seen the wicked in great power,

and spreading himself like a native green tree.

Yet he passed away, and behold he was no more:

indeed I sought him, but he could not be found.

Mark the blameless man, and observe the upright:

for the future of that man is peace.

But the transgressors shall be destroyed together;

the future of the wicked shall be cut off.

But the salvation of the righteous is from the Lord;

He is their strength in the time of trouble.

And the Lord shall help them and deliver them;

He shall deliver them from the wicked, and

save them, because they trust in Him.

(Psalm 37.35-40).

CREDITED

Now when a man works, his wages are not

credited to him as a gift, but as an obligation.

However, to the man who does not work but

trusts God Who justifies the wicked, his faith

is credited as righteousness.

(Romans 4.4 & 5).

SEE

See, the storm of the Lord will burst out in wrath,

a driving wind swirling down on the heads of the wicked.

The fierce anger of the Lord will not turn back until

He fully accomplishes the purposes of His heart.

In the days to come you will understand this.

(Jeremiah 30.23 & 24).

SHIELD

In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can

extinguish all the flaming arrows of the wicked one.

(Ephesians 6.16).

WHO HAS

Who has believed our message? And to whom has the arm of the Lord

look at Him, and no beauty that we should desire Him.

He was despised and rejected and forsaken by men, a Man of sorrows

and pains, and acquainted with grief and sickness; and like One from

Whom men hide their faces He was despised, and we did not appreciate

His worth or have any esteem for Him.

Surely He has borne our griefs … Continue Reading
