MARRIED

MARRIED

Husbands, love your wives,

as Christ loved the church

and gave Himself up for her,

So that he might sanctify her,

having cleansed her by the

washing of water with the Word,

That He might present the church

to Himself in glorious splendor,

without spot or wrinkle or any such

things (that she might be holy, perfect).

Even so husbands, should love their

wives as (being in a sense), their own

bodies.

(Ephesians5.25-28).

THE NEW HUMAN

For He is Himself our peace, our bond

of unity and harmony. He has made

us both Jew and Gentile one body,

and has broken down, destroyed, abolished

the hostile dividing wall between us.

By abolishing in His own crucified flesh

the enmity caused by the Law with its decrees

and ordinances (which he annuled), that He

from the two might create in himself one

new human (one new quality of humanity out

of the two), so making peace.

(Ephesians 2.14 and 15).

POINTS FOR PRAISE AND MEDITATION

1) Jesus Christ is our peace.

He is the way, the truth and the life.

He is our wisdom. He is the resurrection

and the life. He is also … Continue Reading

JESUS,THE NAME ABOVE ALL NAMES

JESUS, THE NAME ABOVE ALL NAMES

Far above all rule and authority,

power, dominion and every name

that is named, not only in this age

and this world, but also in the age

and the world which are to come.

And He has put all things under

His feet and has appointed Him the

universal and supreme Head of

the church.

Which is His body, the fullness

of Him Who fills all in all ( for

in the body lives the full measure

of Him Who makes everything

complete and Who fills everything

everywhere with Himself.

(Ephesians 1. 21-23).

POINTS FOR PRAISE

AND MEDITATION

1) Jesus is above all

authority anywhere

forever. His name is

above all names.

2) He is the head … Continue Reading

the Father of glory, may give to you

the spirit of wisdom and revelation

in the knowledge of Him,

( Ephesians 1. 15-17)

YOU IN THE DIVINE MYSTERY

YOU IN THE DIVINE MYSTERY

Having made known to us the mystery

of His will in accordance with His good

pleasure which He had previously purposed

and set forth in Him.

That in the dispensation of the fullness of the

times to unify all things in Christ, both things

in heaven and things on the earth, in Him.

In Him also we have obtained an inheritance,

being predestined according to the purpose

of Him who works all things according to the

counsel of His will.

That we who first trusted in Christ should be

to the praise of His glory!

POINTS FOR PRAISE AND MEDITATION

1) God’s divine mystery revealed.

2) The divine mystery in the … Continue Reading

The Nature of Sin

THE NATURE OF SIN

What then do we conclude?

Is the Law identical with sin?

Certainly not! Nevertheless,

if it had not been for the Law,

I would not have recognized

sin. For instance I would not

have known about covetousness

if the Law had not said, You should

not covet and have an evil desire.

But sin, finding an opportunity, to

express itself got a hold on me and

provoked forbidden desires such as

lust and covetousness. For without

the Law sin is inactive.

Once I was alive, but quite apart from

the Law. But when the commandment

came, sin came alive and I died.

And the very legal ordinance which was

designed to bring life actually proved

death.

For … Continue Reading

DEAD TO THE LAW

Do you not know brothers and sisters,

for I am speaking to those who are

acquainted with the Law, that the legal claims

have power over a person only for as

long as he or she is alive?

For instance, a married woman is bound

by law to her husband as long as he lives,

but if her husband dies, she is discharged

from the law concerning her husband.

Accordingly, if while her husband lives,

she marries another man, she will be

called an adulteress, but if her husband

dies, she is free from that law, so that

if she marries another man she is not an

adulteress.

Likewise my brothers and sisters you

have undergone … Continue Reading

THE LAMB OF GOD

John answered saying,

I only baptize in water.

Among you there stands

One you do not recognize

and with Whom you are not

acquainted and of Whom you

know nothing.

It is He Who, coming after me,

is preferred before me,

the string of Whose sandal

I am not worthy to unloose.

These things occured in Bethany

across the Jordan where John was

then baptizing.

The next day John saw Jesus coming

to him and said, Look!

There is the Lamb of God, Who takes

away the sin of the world!

(John 1. 26-29).

Consider, meditate and pray about these verses.

THE GOOD SHEPHERD

I am the good shepherd and I know My sheep

and am known by My own.

As the Father knows Me even so I know the Father

and I lay down My life for the sheep.

(John 10.14 and 15).

Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ suffered and died

to save us from sin and death. He gives us eternal

life to enjoy with Him. We are eternally thankful.

We will forever praise, adore and worship Him

starting now.

THE LOVE OF CHRIST COMPELS US

THE LOVE OF CHRIST COMPELS US

For the  love of Christ compels us,

because we judge thus, that if One

died for all, then all died,

And He died for all, that those

who live should live

no longer for themselves,

but for Him who died for them

and rose again.

( II. Corinthians 5.14 and 15).

POINTS FOR PRAYER

1) The love or charity of Jesus Christ urges or  compels us

2) We were reckoned as dead because of trespasses and sins

3) Jesus Christ died to atone for our sins

4) Jesus Christ rose again so that we can live with Him

5) We therefore live for Him empowered by the Holy Spirit

6) … Continue Reading
