Concerning this salvation, the prophets,

who spoke of the grace that was to come

to you, searched intently and with the

greatest care, trying to find out the time and

circumstances to which the Spirit of Christ

in them was pointing when He predicted

the sufferings of Christ and the glories that

would follow.

It was reveled to them that they were not serving

themselves but you, when they spoke of the things

that have now been told you by those

who have preached the gospel (Best News Ever) to you

by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven.

Even angels long to look into these things.

(I.Peter 1.10-12).

O Lord, you have searched me thoroughly and have known me.

You know my downsitting and my uprising. You understand my

thought afar off.

You sift and search out my path and my lying down, and You are

acquainted with all my ways.

For there is not a word in my tongue, but, behold, O Lord, You know

it altogether.

You have beset me and shut me in- behind and before, and You have

laid Your hand upon me.

Your infinite knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high above me,

I cannot reach it.

Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where could I flee from Your presence?
