We are writing about the Word of Life,

Him Who existed from the beginning,

Whom we have heard, Whom we have

seen with our own eyes, Whom we have

gazed upon and touched with our hands.

And the Life was made manifest, and we

saw and are testifying to and declare to

you the Life, the eternal Life Who already

existed with the Father and Who was made

visible to us.

What we have seen and heard, we are also

telling you, so that you too may realize and

enjoy fellowship as partners and partakers

with us. And this fellowship that we have is

with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.

When you read this you can

understand my insight

into the mystery of Christ.

This mystery was never

disclosed to human beings

in past generations as it has

now been revealed to His

holy apostles and prophets

by the Holy Spirit.

It is this: that the Gentiles are

now to be fellow heirs with the

Jews, members of the same

body and joint partakers in

the same divine promise in

Christ through their acceptance

of the glad tidings.

For it is by free grace

(God’s unmerited favor)

that you are saved

(delivered from

judgement and made

partakers of Christ’s

salvation) through

faith. And this salvation

is not of yourselves

(of your own doing, it

came not of our own

striving), but it is

God’s gift.

(Ephesians2.8).

POINTS FOR PRAISE

AND MEDITATION

1) God granted us His

salvation because of

His goodness and grace.

2) We are saved by grace

through faith.

3) His salvation is totally

a gift. God’s gift.

4) We participate in Christ’s

salvation through our faith.

Our faith is also God’s gift.
