May God’s favor and peace be multiplied

to you in the knowledge of God and of

Jesus our Lord.

For His divine power has bestowed on us

all things that are suited to life and godliness,

through the knowledge of Him Who called us

by and to His own glory and excellence.

Jesus Christ, to those who have received like

precious faith with ourselves in and through the

righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ:

Who called us by His own glory and goodness.

Through these He has given His very great and

precious promises, so that through them you

may participate in the divine nature and escape

the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.
