JUSTIFIED

Since we have now been justified by His Blood,

how much more shall we be saved from God’s

wrath through Him! For if, when we were God’s

enemies, we were reconciled to Him through the

death of His Son, how much more, having been

reconciled, shall we be saved through His life!

Not only is this so, but we also rejoice in God

through our Lord Jesus Christ, through Whom

we have now received reconciliation.

(Romans5.9-11).

SPLENDID

Now if the dispensation of death

engraved in letters on stone, was

inaugurated with such glory and

splendor that the Israelites were

not able to look steadily at the face

of Moses because of its brilliance,

a glory that would pass away,

Why should not the dispensation

of the Spirit (this spiritual ministry

whose task it is to cause men to

to obtain and be governed by the

Holy Spirit) be attended with much

greater and more splendid glory?

(II. Corinthians 3. 7 & 8).

EYES

And God shall wipe away all tears

from their eyes; and there shall be

no more death, neither sorrow, nor

crying, neither shall there be any

more pain: for the former things

are passed away.

(Revelation 21.4).

LIFE AND PEACE

Those who live according to the

sinful nature have their minds set

on what that nature desires.

But those who live in accordance

with the Spirit have their minds set

on what the Spirit desires.

The mind of sinful man is death, but

the mind controlled by the Spirit is

life and peace.

The sinful mind is hostile to God.

It does not submit to God’s law,

nor can it do so.

Those controlled by the sinful

nature cannot please God.

You, however, are controlled not

by the sinful nature but by the Spirit,

if the Spirit of God lives in you.

And if  anyone does not have the Spirit

of Christ, he does not belong to Christ.

TO KNOW

I want to know Christ and the power of His

resurrection and the fellowship of sharing

in His sufferings, becoming like Him in His

death, and so, somehow, to attain to the

resurrection from the dead.

(Philippians 3. 10 & 11).

IF

If anyone sees his brother commit a sin that does not

lead to death, he should pray and God will give him life.

I refer to those whose sin does not lead to death.

There is a sin that leads to death. I am not saying that he

should pray about that. All wrongdoing is sin, and there

is sin that does not lead to death.

We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin;

the one who was born of God keeps him safe, and the evil one

cannot harm him. We know that we are the children of God, and

that the whole world … Continue Reading

KNOWLEDGE

But thanks be to God, Who always leads us in triumphal

procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere

the fragrance of the knowledge of Him.

For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who

are being saved and those who are perishing. To the one

we are the smell of death; to the other, the fragrance of life.

And who is equal to such a task? Unlike so many, we do not

peddle the word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ

we speak before God with sincerity, like men sent from God.

(II. Corinthians 2.14-17).

FAULTLESS

Yet now has Christ reconciled you to God in the body of His

flesh through death, in order to present you holy and faultless

and irreproachable in His Father’s presence.

(Colossians 1.22).

NEWNESS OF LIFE

What shall we say? Are we to remain in sin in order that

God’s grace may multiply and overflow?

Certainly not! How can we who died to sin live in it any

longer?

Are you ignorant of the fact that all of us who have been

baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death?

We were buried therefore with Him by the baptism into

death, so that just as Christ was raised from the dead by

the glorious power of the Father, so we too might live and

behave in newness of life.

For if we have become one with Him by sharing a death like

His, we shall also … Continue Reading
