THE WORLD

For when the world with all its earthly

wisdom  failed to know God, by means

of its own philosophy, God in His wisdom

was pleased through the foolishness of

preaching (salvation, procured by Christ

and to be had through Him), to save

those who believed (trusted  in and

relied on Him).

(I. Corinthians 1.21).

IN FACT

What then shall we say that Abraham, our forefather

discovered in this matter? If, in fact, Abraham was

justified by works, he had something to boast about-

but not before God. What does the Scripture say?

“Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him

as righteousness.”

(Romans 4.1-3).

ETERNAL LIFE IS IN JESUS CHRIST

Anyone who believes in the Son of God has this testimony in his heart.

Anyone who does not believe God has made Him out to be a liar,

because he has not believed the testimony God has given about His Son.

And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this eternal

life is in His Son.

(I. John 5.10 & 11).

GOD’S WISDOM

For when the world with all its earthly wisdom failed to perceive

God by means of its own philosophy,  God in His wisdom was

pleased through the foolishness of preaching salvation through

Christ, to save those who believed.

(I.Corinthians 1.21).

SEAL

In Christ, you also who have heard the word of Truth,

the glad tidings of your salvation, and have believed in

and adhered to  and relied on Him, were stamped with

the seal of the long-promised Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is the guarantee of our inheritance in

anticipation of  full redemption and our acquiring

complete possession- to the praise of His glory!

(Ephesians 1. 13 & 14).

BELIEVED

Who has believed our message?

And to whom has the arm of the

Lord been disclosed?

For(the Servant of the Lord)

grew before Him like a tender

plant, and like a root out of dry

ground. He has no form or

comeliness, that we should look

at Him, and no beauty that we

should desire Him.

He was despised and rejected and

forsaken by men, a man of sorrows

and pains, and acquainted with grief

and sickness; and like One Whom men

hide their faces. He was despised and

we did not appreciate His worth or

have any esteem for Him.

Surely He has borne our griefs and

carried our sorrows and pains, yet we

considered Him stricken, smitten … Continue Reading
