Surely you have heard bout the administration of God’s grace that was given to me for you, that is, the mystery made known to me by revelation, as I have already written briefly.
Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? We were therefor buried with Him through baptism into death in order that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.
Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace.
Turn away from godless chatter and the opposing ideas of what is falsely called knowledge, which some have professed and in so doing have wandered from the faith.
Grace be with you.
Having believed, you were marked in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, Who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession- to the praise of His glory.
In Him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of Him Who works out everyhting in conformity with the purpose of His will, in order that we, who were the first to hope in Christ, might be for the praise of His glory.
I am not ashamed of the gospel (Best News Ever), because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. For in the gospel (Best News Ever) a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”
And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Counselor to be with you forever- the Spirit of truth.
May the God of peace, Who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back fromt the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing His will, and may He work in us what is pleasing to Him, through Jesus Christ, to Whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen!
