But join me in suffering for the gospel (Best News Ever), by the power of God, Who has saved us and called us to a holy life- not because of anything we have done but because of His own purpose and grace.
Remember, Jesus Christ, raised from the dead, descended from David. This is my gospel (Best News Ever), for which I am suffering even to the point of being chained like a criminal. But God’s word is not chained.
God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him.
You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you.
And if the Spirit of Him Who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, He Who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit Who lives in you.
for he who loves his fellowman has fulfilled the law.
Be devoted to one another in brotherly love.
Honor one another above yourselves.
In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.
Therefore, since we have a great high priest Who has gone through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess.
You, my brothers and sisters were called to be free.
