Freely

Freely

What then are we to say about this things?

If God is for us, who is against us?

He who did not withhold His own Son,

but gave Him  up for all of us, will He

not with Him also give us everything else?

(Romans 8; 31 and 32).

The pivotal point in our lives is the Point

we come to understand that we have peace with God,

not through our efforts, nor through merit, ability, beauty,

aptitude or as a reward for anything we have ever done.

We have peace with God only because of Who He is.

Because He is love and did not spare His Own, Eternal Son

Who is in the Bosom of the Father, we have peace with God.

This is why we read; ‘What then can we say to these things?’

A profound question, when we realize that God has already

spoken thus. We can rejoice. We can sing.We can dance. We can praise Him.

We exclaim, AMEN!

‘Si Deus pro nobis, quis contra nos?’. If God is  for us, who is against

us?

As we fix our eyes on Jesus, crucified for us, at the point where

sin, evil, Satan, the world, darkness, history and humanity came to

confront The Unknown God, we see Jesus, Who for the joy that was set

before Him endured the cross, despising the shame. He stands there

in our place to take on our sin, shame, desperation and death.

We see Him, the Captain of our Salvation confronting evil, sin and death

with His eternal righteousness, faithfulness and love.

At the nadir  of human history when men crucified the Lord we see

the apex of hope.

Instead of being against us He is for us. He takes away our pain,

distress, depression and deprivation and gives us all good things-freely!

We must totally rely on Him. Utterly and completely! We will never

stand alone! It is always His victory! Because He is risen and

ascended on high, seated on the right hand of God, He intercedes for

us. In Him we stand delivered! HALLELUJAH! BLESS HIS NAME FOREVER!
