He saved us, not because of any works of righteousness that we had done, but because of His mercy, by the cleansing of the new birth and renewing of the Holy Spirit, which He poured richly upon us through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.
Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, Who provides us with everything for our enjoyment.
And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
That we might be justified by His grace (that we might be acknowledged as conformed to the divine will and purpose, thought and action), and that we might become heirs of eternal life according to our hope.
