This I say and solemnly testify in the Lord,
that you must no longer live as the heathen
do in their folly and emptiness of their souls
and the futility of their minds.
So let us seize and hold fast and retain without wavering the hope we cherish and confess our acknowledgment of it, for He Who promised is reliable and faithful to His word.
Do not fret about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God.
And God’s peace which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
So brace up your minds; be sober; set your hope wholly and unchangeably on the grace that is coming to you when Jesus Christ is revealed.
This is the gospel (Best News Ever) that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant.

On the contrary , by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. and even if our Gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ, Who is the image of God.
