CHOSEN
Thursday, February 2nd, 2012Therefore, as God’s chosen people,
holy and dearly loved, clothe
yourselves with compassion,
kindness, humility, gentleness
and patience.
(Colossians 3.12).
HALLELUJAH! THANK YOU LORD JESUS FOREVERMORE!
Therefore, as God’s chosen people,
holy and dearly loved, clothe
yourselves with compassion,
kindness, humility, gentleness
and patience.
(Colossians 3.12).
HALLELUJAH! THANK YOU LORD JESUS FOREVERMORE!
Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe
yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you
may have against one another.
Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
And over all these virtues put on love which
binds them all together in perfect unity.
(Colossians 3.12-14).
HALLELUJAH! THANK YOU LORD JESUS FOREVERMORE!
And God Who provides seed for the sower and bread for eating
will also provide and multiply your resources for sowing and
increase the fruits of your righteousness (which manifests
itself in active goodness, kindness and charity).
(II. Corinthians 9.10).
HALLELUJAH! THANK YOU LORD JESUS FOREVERMORE!
Do you not perceive that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?
(Romans 2.4)
It is God’s goodness and kindness that leads you to repentance.
Not our exceptional intelligence, brilliance or insight.
Not our mystical, spiritual or religious background or standing.
Not our strong will-power, discipline, intense prayer or fasting.
Not our achievements, wisdom or energy.
It is God’s goodness and kindness alone which leads you to repentance
from dead works. This is an absolute miracle.
At one point our unrighteousness and ungodliness becomes clear to us.
We realize like Job did when he encountered God in fear and trembling
how much we need God’s imputed righteousness. The righteousness of
Jesus Christ is credited to us when we totally believe and trust Him.
We conclude that God is true and everyone has sinned and come short
of the glory of God. We realize with awe and fear and trembling how much
we need His grace. We are saved by His grace alone and the faith we obtain
is totally His gift. God’s forbearance and long-suffering lead us to repent.
With humility and endless debt of gratitude we receive His most precious gift.
There is nothing better than abiding in His Presence and basking in His love.
We continue to praise Him for His indescribable gift.
HALLELUJAH! THANK YOU LORD JESUS FOREVERMORE!
EAGER FOR HAPPINESS
Be eager and strive
earnestly to guard
and keep the harmony
and oneness of (and
produced by)
the Spirit in the binding
power of peace.
(Ephesians 4. 3)
POINTS FOR REFLECTION
AND MEDITATION
1) The pursuit of peace
is only possible by the
attitude of humility,
gentleness, forgiveness
and kindness which
characterizes Jesus. His
character traits allow
us to pursue peace
successfully. These character
traits are acquired by being
filled with the Holy Spirit.
2) When we are intentional
and intense in the pursuit
of harmony and oneness
with the binding and
uniting power of the
Holy Spirit we are
able to make progress
in achieving peace.
3) If you are eager for happiness
this is the key to lasting happiness.
PRAISE THE LORD JESUS
FOR HIS MOST PHENOMENAL GIFT!
For those who live according to
the flesh set their minds on the
things of the flesh, but those who
live according to the Spirit, the
things of the Spirit.
For to be carnally minded is death,
but to be spiritually minded is
life and peace.
( Romans 8.5 and 6).
RIGHT THINKING
HALLMARK OF A SPIRITUAL
MIND
Consider and meditate on the following:
1) Carnal minds contemplate merely
physical thoughts. Their sphere of
ideation is restricted to things, places,
activities related to physical desires.
2) Those who live according to the
Holy Spirit meditate on Spiritual
concepts and reflect on the ideas
inspired by the Holy Spirit.
Spirit led thoughts characterized by
love, joy, peace,patience,kindness,
goodness and faithfulness are the
hallmark of a spiritual mind.
3) When you are spiritually minded
you have eternal, unconditional
life and peace. The Kingdom of God
is right thinking, peace and joy in
the Holy Spirit.
