HOPE AND FUTURE
Friday, May 20th, 2011“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to
prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
(Jeremiah 29.11).
HALLELUJAH! THANK YOU LORD JESUS FOREVERMORE!
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to
prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
(Jeremiah 29.11).
HALLELUJAH! THANK YOU LORD JESUS FOREVERMORE!
For I know the thoughts and plans that I have
for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for
welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you
a future and a hope.
(Jeremiah 29 .11).
HALLELUJAH! THANK YOU LORD JESUS FOREVERMORE!
“We who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, we ourselves also
groan within ourselves, waiting for our adoption, the
redemption of the body.”
Yes, the whole creation which has, for this hope subjected
to futility also groans and waits for the manifestation of the
sons of God.
We are subjected to the vanity or futility that we encounter in
nature, the death and destruction, darkness and depravity present
in this age. However the Holy Spirit heralds the Future in God,
with God through Christ Jesus our Lord.
We are pioneers of hope as we wait for our adoption, that is the
redemption of our body.
We understand that we are redeemed by our Lord and Savior
Jesus Christ and sealed with the Holy Spirit. We are now the
children of God. It does not yet appear what we shall be, but
when He appears we shall see Him as He is, for we shall be like
Him. Through the Holy Spirit, we experience the love of God
which is shed abroad in our hearts and we cry, Abba, Father!
We have witnessed the New Reality in Christ Jesus.
Unseen, yet very real!
We are saved. Based on this salvation we proceed to know
and anticipate. The physical, emotional, social, economic
aspects of our lives are lived under this knowledge and
anticipation.
We are made partakers of the divine nature by Christ Jesus
our Lord and Savior through the Holy Spirit according to
the will of the Father. Now, this moment and every minute
of this fleeting temporal life we are under the hope and
anticipation of the divine Now, the eternity that is His.
“For by hope we are saved: but hope that is seen is not
hope: for what a man sees why does he yet wait? But if
we hope for the unseen, then we wait with patience.”
Waiting with hope and patiently possible only with God.
God’s thoughts of eternity, new creation, freedom, wholeness
and holiness are only accessible through His Holy Spirit.
We are as Paul, determined to know only and focus on Jesus
and Him crucified and the Holy Spirit that raised Him from
the dead. The Spirit bears witness that we are children of God.
Through the Holy Spirit we experience the love of God poured
into our hearts and we express our hope, praise, thanks, love
and longing as we cry, Abba, Father!
HALLELUJAH! THANK YOU LORD JESUS FOREVERMORE!
The ultimate answer in our quest to discover the purpose of life
culminates in Christ Jesus, the Son of Man and the Son of God.
This purpose finds fulfillment in the risen Lord Who is near to all
who call upon Him.
“He is the sole expression of the glory of God and He is the perfect
imprint and very image of God’s nature, upholding and propelling
the universe by His mighty word of power. When He had by offering
Himself accomplished our cleansing of sins and riddance of guilt, He
sat down at the right hand of the divine majesty on high.”
(Hebrews 1.3).
In Him human destiny finds fulfillment. In the risen Lord we have peace,
hope and eternal life. He is the Master of human destiny. He is our healer,
provider and deliverer. He reveals Who God is and who man is.
In Him we are united to God, we are made holy and whole.
HALLELUJAH! THANK YOU LORD JESUS FOREVERMORE!
But, now the righteousness of God has been
revealed independently and altogether
apart from the Law, although actually it
is attested by the Law and the prophets.
(Romans 3.21).
It is truly vital to rightly understand that
this is a fallen world, our predicament in it is
indeed dire,
we are helpless, hopeless and desperate and
apart from God’s grace this world is doomed.
All we like sheep have gone astray, everyone to
his own way. There is none that does good, not one.
The heart is deceitful and desperately wicked, who
can know it? All have sinned and come short of
the glory of God. The Law and the Prophets clearly
expound the Fix we are in. St. Paul said that
there is no good in him, he could not do what he
should do and did what he should not do.
We are bound in time and space, limited in
possibility and ability.
However, we have eternity
set in our hearts as Solomon said. We know there
has to be a point to it all and we reflect on
our origin, a time when there was abundance, peace,
love and only goodness in the Garden
where Adam and Eve strolled with God in the cool
of the day.
There was a time when the
sun stood still and time stopped upon Gibeon
and the moon did not move in the valley of
Ayalon.
We know there is a future with no pain, no sorrow, no tears
and no war.
We know there is a future resurrection when the
graves will be opened and the sea will give up the
dead.
We know that there is a judgeement coming when
the Jesus Christ will judge everyone
righteously because He is the righteous Son of God
and Son of man.
He is our righteousness.
He is our redeemer. He is our future.
But, now, refers to the new order of things, to the
shape of things to come and our escape of
the desperate Fix we are in.
This is because the Kingdom has come to us.
The Kingdom is among us , because the King has come.
The King of kings and Lord of lords has come.
I saw a new heaven and a new earth, says St. John in
Revelation, for the first heaven and
the first earth are passed away.
But, now we hear the voice of God which is
heard in the Law and has also spoken by the
prophets, speaking through the Holy Spirit
and guiding us.
But, now in these last days
God has spoken to us in the Person of His Son,
Whom He appointed Heir and lawful Owner
of all things, also by and through Whom He
created the worlds and the reaches of space
and the ages of time (He made, produced, built,
operated and arranged them in order).
He is the sole expression of the glory of God
(the Light-being, the out-raying, the radiance
of the divine) and He is the perfect imprint and
very image of God’s nature, upholding and
maintaining, guiding and propelling the
universe by His mighty word of power.
When He had by offering Himself accomplished
our cleansing of sins and riddance of guilt, He sat down
at the right hand of the divine majesty on high.
(Hebrews 1.2 & 3).
HALLELUJAH! PRAISE, HONOR, GLORY AND POWER BE UNTO JESUS WHOM THE HOLY FATHER HAS
SEATED AT HIS RIGHT! THANK YOU LORD JESUS FOREVERMORE!
ONE BODY
There is one body and one Spirit
just as there is also one hope that
belongs to the calling you received.
(Ephesians 4.4).
POINTS FOR MEDITATION
1) There is no other future
destiny to hope outside
of Jesus.
2) His purpose stands. We stand
with Him.
3) Our future is secure in His eternity.
4) There is one body of Christ.
He is the head of the body.
The Holy Spirit unites us
with His unique power.
HALLELUJAH! THANK YOU
LORD JESUS FOREVERMORE!
