SET FREE

God’s entrance into our humanity as Jesus Christ has set us free.

Free from corruption. Free from sin and death. Free from decay.

Free from dissolution, desolation and dissilusion. Free from blindness.

Free from deafness.

Free from ignorance. Free from darkness.

He has, in His infinite wisdom, decided to be one of us, one with us!

He has chosen to share His Love, Light and Joy with us. This is His

Glory! He Who knew no sin became sin for us, so that we can become

the righteousness of God. The righteousness of God shines brighter and

brighter to the point of noon where there is no shadow and no darkness.

Here is how St. Paul explains this:

” For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord; walk as

children of Light (lead the lives of those native-born to the Light)!

For the fruit (the effect, the product) of the Light or the Holy Spirit

consists in every form of kindly goodness, uprightness of heart, and

trueness of life.

And try to learn (in your experience) what is pleasing to the Lord

(let your lives be constant proofs of what is most acceptable to Him).

Take no part in and have no fellowship with the fruitless deeds and

enterprises of darkness, but instead (let your lives be so in contrast to)

expose, reprove and convict them. For it is a shame even to speak of or

mention the things that such people do in secret.

But when anything is exposed and reproved by the light, it is made visible

and clear; and where everything is visible and clear there is light.

Therefore He says, Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ

shall shine upon you and give you light.

Look carefully then how you walk! Live purposefully and worthily and

accurately, not as the unwise and witless, but as wise (sensibly and

intelligently),

Making the very most of the time (buying up each opportunity) because

the days are evil.

Therefore do not be vague, thoughtless and foolish, but understanding and

firmly grasping what the will of the Lord is.

And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery; but ever be filled

and stimulated with the Holy Spirit.

Speak out to one another in psalms, hymns and spiritual songs, offering

praise with voices and instruments and making melody with all your

heart to the Lord,

At all times and for everything giving thanks in the name of our Lord Jesus

Christ to God the Father.

Be subject to one another out of reverence for Christ (the Messiah, the

Anointed One).”

(Ephesians 5.8-21).

POINTS FOR MEDITATION AND PRAISE

1) The great and amazing salvation of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ

is to be lived out in our thought and behavior patterns.

2) This is more evident in avoiding and exposing the fruitless deeds of

darkness.

3) Another aspect is being purposeful and precise, sensible and

intelligent, making the most of each opportunity to do good and not waste

any time, because the days are evil and they have been so for the last two

thousand years.

4) It is vital that we know the Will of the Lord concerning our

lives. This is the penetrating Desire of the Parent for the Child, the

Overarching and Specific Divine Imperative for every Moment of

our Lives.

The way we CAN KNOW the Will of the Lord in every instance is found

in the very next verse:

” And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery; but ever be

filled and stimulated with the Holy Spirit.”

The only way to know His thoughts and desires is to learn to HEAR and HEED

the still, small voice of the Lord. Then we are so on target and precise that

His Joy fills our thoughts and hearts so we are full of praises. psalms,

hymns and spiritual songs in our conversations with each other!

HALLELUJAH! COME, TASTE AND SEE THAT THE LORD IS GOOD!

HE IS OUR FREEDOM, OUR LIGHT,OUR SAVIOR, OUR HEALER,OUR

LEADER AND OUR JOY! PRAISES, HONOR, GLORY, POWER BELONG

TO THE LAMB! THE LORD OF LORDS AND KING OF KINGS JESUS CHRIST!

THE WHOLE UNIVERSE

THE WHOLE UNIVERSE

But He ascended? Now what can this, He ascended, mean but that

He had previously descended from the heights of heaven into the

depths, the lower parts of the earth?

He Who descended is the very same as He Who also has ascended

high above all the heavens, that He might fill all things, the whole

universe with His presence, from the lowest to the highest.

(Ephesians 4.9 and 10).

POINTS FOR MEDITATION AND PRAISE

1) He Who knew no sin became sin for us, so that we might become the

righteousness of God in Christ (I. Corinthians 5.21).

He entered into the fullness of human experience in order to redeem

humanity. Sorrow, grief, sadness, frustration, anger, disappointment,

being misunderstood, insulted, attacked, tortured, imprisoned and killed

were among His experiences. He conquered all of that from within and

triumphed for all of us. Please read Isaiah 53.3 and Hebrews 4.15 and

send your comments.

 2) Jesus Christ spanned the highest high and the lowest low in order to

fill the entire spectrum of human existence and experience with His

presence, thereby redeeming it and also to redeem the whole universe

as the children of God are ultimately manifested, the entire creation will

be transformed. This will be Creation 2.0 where death, decay, despair and

destruction will be abolished. There will be no suffering, pain, illness, grief,

or distress. The whole creation will be set free from entropy. There will be

a new Space and a new earth. Please read Romans 8.17-23 and Revelation

Chapter 22, the last chapter in your Bible. Send your comments please.

RICH GIFT

RICH GIFT

There is one body and one Spirit, just as there is also

one hope that belongs to the calling you received.

There is one Lord, one faith one baptism, One God

the Father of us all, Who is above all, Sovereign over

all, pervading all and living in us all.

Yet grace (God’s unmerited favor) was given to each

of us individually (not indiscriminately, but in different

ways) in proportion to the measure of Christ’s rich and

bounteous gift. Therefore it is said, When He ascended on

high, He led captivity captive (He led a train of vanquished

foes) and he bestowed gifts on men.(Ephesians 4.4-8).

POINTS FOR PRAISE AND MEDITATION

1) There is one Lord, one Spirit, one body, one faith, one

baptism, one God and Father of us all who is above all,

pervading all and living in us all. HALLELUJAH!

2) Each believer has specifically been blessed with grace,

which is God’s unmerited favor according to the measure

of Christ’s rich gift. The measure is unlimited as we saw in

Ephesians 1.19.

3) The rich gift of Christ is described and predicted by the psalmist

who alludes to God’s Kingdom rule in prophetic and spiritual

ways which cover the past, present and future. This has to do

with each individual Christian and the Church, because this is

the holy place where the Lord dwells.

Here is Psalm 68.13-20):

“Though you (the slackers) may lie among the sheepfolds (in slothful ease,

yet for Israel) the wings of a dove are covered with silver, its pinions

excessively green with gold (trophies recovered from the enemy).

When the Almighty scattered kings in the land, it was as when it snows

on Zalmon (a wooded hill near Shechem).

Is Mount Bashan the high mountain of summits, Mount Bashan the

mount of God? Why do you look with grudging and with envy, you

many-peaked mountains, at the mountain which God has desired for

His dwelling place? Yes, the Lord will dwell in it forever.

The chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands upon

thousands. The Lord is among them as He was in Sinai, in the

Holy Place.

YOU HAVE ASCENDED ON HIGH. YOU HAVE LED AWAY CAPTIVE

A TRAIN OF VANQUISHED FOES. YOU HAVE RECEIVED GIFTS OF

MEN, YES of the rebellious also, that the Lord God might dwell there

with them.

Blessed be the Lord, who bears our burdens and carries us day by day,

the God Who is our salvation! Selah (pause and calmly think of that)!

God is to us a God of deliverances and salvation and to God the Lord

belongs escape from death (setting us free).

4) Here in this psalm the Lord Who bears our burdens, whose

burden is easy and burden is light Jesus the Christ is the One

Who delivers and sets us free from sin and death, our God Who is

our salvation. The very name Jesus literally means (God Who IS

Salvation).

5) St. Paul in a turn of the phrase states that Jesus Christ led

captivity captive and bestowed gifts to humanity. This is different from

the context of the psalm where a train of captives were being led and the

Lord received gifts of men.

When the Lord led captivity captive He destroyed the power the

devil which kept  mankind captive to the  fear of death. This is

explained here by the author of Hebrews:

” Since, therefore His children share in flesh and blood, He himself

in asimilar manner partook of the same nature, that by going through

death He might bring to nought and make of no effect him who had the

power of death, that is the devil-

And also that He might deliver and completely set free all those who

through the haunting fear of death were held in bondage throughout

the course of their lives. “(Hebrews 2. 14& 15).

In the psalm He receives gifts. In Ephesians St. Paul is saying that

the Lord gives each believer individual spiritual gifts.

WE DARE

This is in accordance with

the terms of the eternal

and timeless purpose which

He has realized and carried

into effect in Christ Jesus

our Lord.

In whom, because of our

faith in Him we dare to have

the boldness (courage and

confidence) free access (an

unreserved approach to

God with freedom and

without fear.

(Ephesians 3.11 and 12)

POINTS FOR PRAISE

AND MEDITATION

1) God’s plan and purpose

for humanity was effected

through Jesus Christ who

is divine and human.

2) This is why in Him and by

thorough faith in Him we now

dare have free,

unhindered and confident

access to God.

THANK YOU LORD JESUS!

UNLIMITED RICHES

Wednesday, November 11th, 2009

Of this Gospel I was made a minister

according to the gift of God’s free grace

which was bestowed on me by the exercise

of His power.

To me, though I am the very least of all the

saints, this grace was granted and graciously

entrusted, to proclaim to the Gentiles the

unlimited riches of Christ (unending, boundless,

fathomless, incalculable wealth which no human

could have discovered.

(Ephesians 3.7 and 8).

POINTS FOR PRAISE

1) The unlimited riches of Christ has

been revealed in the Gospel, the Best

News Ever.

2) This declaration to the world is made

possible by God’s power.

3) The unending, boundless, fathomless,

incalculable, inexhaustible wealth of Christ

could only be discovered and disclosed

by the announcement of the Gospel.

CALLED TO FREEDOM

Tuesday, October 13th, 2009

CALLED TO FREEDOM

For you, brothers and sisters

were called to freedom, only

do not let your freedom be

an incentive to your flesh and

an opportunity or excuse for

selfishness but through love

you should serve one another.

For the whole Law – about human

relationships- is fulfilled in one word,

even in this: ” You shall love your

neighbor as yourself.”

( Galatians 5.13 and 14).

THOUGHTS FOR MEDITATION

 Please  meditate on these points:

1) Ways to serve one another

2) Direct service to people

3) Freedom to care and love

4) Freedom in Christ to avoid

selfishness and sin

5) Freedom in Christ to be dead

to sin and alive to righteousness.

Really Free

Thursday, September 24th, 2009

REALLY FREE

There is therefore now no condemnation

to those who are in Christ Jesus,

who do not walk according to the flesh,

but according to the Spirit.

For the law of the Spirit of life

in Christ Jesus has freed me

from the law of sin and death.

( Romans 8.1 and 2).

INSPIRATION FOR

THANKSGIVING AND PRAISE

Consider these:

1) The meaning of true freedom.

2) Declared: “Not guilty!” by God Himself.

3) Being in Christ Jesus.

4) Walking according to the Spirit.

5) The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus

sets us free from the law of sin and death.

Every one of these points are of monumental

importance and deserve in- depth exploration.

Meditate and reflect on each of these.

EVERLASTING LIFE

Wednesday, September 16th, 2009

And having been set free from sin,

you became servants of righteousness.

I speak in human terms because of the

weakness of your flesh. For just as you

presented your members as servants

of uncleanness, and of lawlessness leading

to more lawlessness, so now present your

members as servants of righteousness for

holiness.

For when you were servants of sin, you

were free in regard to righteousness.

What fruit did you have then in the things

of which you are now ashamed? For the

end of those things is death.

But now having been set free from sin

and having become servants of God,

you have your fruit to holiness and

the end everlasting life.

For the wages of sin is death, but the

gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus

our Lord.

(Romans 6.18-23).

Consider and meditate on the following:

1) There are two ways of life.

2) Becoming the servant of righteousness

results in eternal life.

3) The free gift of God is eternal life in

and through union with Jesus Christ

our Lord and Savior.

FREE GIFT

Thursday, September 10th, 2009

Nor is the free gift at all to be compared

to the effect of that one man’s ( Adam’s)

sin.

For the sentence following the trespass

of one man brought condemnation

whereas the free gift following many

transgressions brings justification.

For if because of one man’s trespass

death reigned through that one

much more surely will those who

receive God’s overflowing grace

and the free gift of righteousness

reign as kings in life through the

one Man Jesus Christ.

Well then, as one man’s trespass led

to condemnation for all men,

so one man’s act of righteousness leads

to acquittal and right standing with God

and life for all men.

(Romans 5.16-18).

Consider these points:

1) The sin of Adam concluded all mankind in sin.

2) Sin led to death and decay ( corruption).

3) Jesus Christ, the Eternal Son, the second

person of the Holy Trinity ( Godhead) being

fully God, also became fully human to give

all humanity a new start ( recapitulation).

4) Now His righteousness is imputed to us

and brings about our reconciliation and

justification.

5) We become a new creation in Christ with

His characteristics, instead of the old sinful

human nature inherited from Adam.

6) Jesus Christ reversed the guilty verdict

and gave us right standing in God’s sight.

7) Because of our right standing which we

receive through Jesus Christ, God’s grace and

extravagant favor overflow  into our lives.

MORE FREEDOM

Sunday, August 23rd, 2009

There is therefore now no condemnation
to those who are in Christ Jesus, who
do not walk according to the flesh, but
according to the Spirit.
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ
Jesus has made me free from the law
of sin and death.
For what the law could not do in that
it was weak through the flesh, God did
by sending His own Son in the likeness
of sinful flesh, on account of sin.

He condemned sin in the flesh,
that the righteous requirement of
the law might be fulfilled in us who
do not walk according to the flesh
but according to the Spirit.
For those who live according to the
flesh set their minds on the things
of the flesh, but those who live
according to the Spirit, the things
of the Spirit.
For to be carnally minded is death,
but to be spiritually minded is life
and peace.
( Romans 8.1-6).
POINTS FOR REFLECTION
1) The law of the Spirit of life in Jesus Christ
2) Your answer to the first question determines true freedom
3) The characteristics of true freedom
4 ) Jesus Christ accomplished our reconciliation
5 ) A carnal mind versus the spiritual mind
6 ) The result of  being spiritually minded

7) The reason most people don’t experience

more freedom, joy and happiness.
