Do not fret because of evildoers, nor be envious of the workers of iniquity.
For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.
Now to Him Who , by the action of the power that is at work in us, is able to carry out His purpose and do superabundantly far over and above all that we dare ask or think, infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams- To Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Amen.
Then Jesus said to His disciples, If anyone desires to be My disciple, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me.

Through these He has given us His very great and pricious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.
