FIRST
Thursday, May 17th, 2012Thus it is written, The first man Adam became
a living being. The last Adam (Christ) became
a life giving Spirit (restoring the dead to life).
(I. Corinthians 15.45).

Now who is here to hurt you if you are
zealous followers of that which is good?
But even in case you should suffer for
the sake of righteousness, you are blessed.
Do not be afraid of their threats, nor be
disturbed by their opposition.
But in your hearts set Christ apart as holy
and acknowledge Him as Lord.
Always be ready to give a logical defense
to anyone who asks you to account for
the hope that is in you, but do it courteously
and respectfully.
(I.Peter 3.13-15).
HALLELUJAH! THANK YOU LORD JESUS FOREVERMORE!
As many as are the promises of God,
they all find their Yes in Christ.
For this reason we also utter the Amen
to God through Him to the glory of God.
(II. Corinthians 1.20).

The spiritual man can read the meaning of
everything, but no one can properly discern
him.
For who has known the mind of the Lord so as
to guide Him? But we have the mind of Christ
and do hold the thoughts of His heart.
(I. Corinthians 2.16).
HALLELUJAH! THANK YOU LORD JESUS FOREVERMORE!
When the world with all its earthly wisdom
failed to know God by means of its own
philosophy, God in His wisdom was pleased
through the foolishness of preaching, to save
those who believed in salvation procured by
Christ.
(I. Corinthians 1.21).

What shall we say, then?
Shall we go on sinning so
that grace may increase?
By no means! We died to
sin; how can we live in it
any longer?
Or don’t you know that all
of us who were baptized into
Christ Jesus were baptized into
His death? We were therefore
buried with Him through baptism
into death in order that, just as Christ
was raised from the dead through the
glory of the Father, we too may live a
new life.
If we have been united with Him like
this in His death, we will certainly also
be united with Him in His resurrection.
For we know that our old self was crucified
with Him so that the body of sin might be
done away with, that we should no longer
be slaves to sin- because anyone who has
died has been freed from sin.
Now if we died with Christ, we believe that
we will also live with Him.
For we know that sine Christ was raised
from the dead, He cannot die again;
death no longer has mastery over Him.
The death He died, He died to sin once
for all; but the life He lives, He lives to
God.
In the same way, count yourselves dead
to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.
Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal
body so that you obey its evil desires.
Do not offer the parts of your bodies to sin,
as instruments of wickedness, but rather
offer yourselves to God, as those who have
been brought from death to life; and offer
the parts of your body as instruments of
righteousness. For sin shall not be your
master, because you are not under law,
but under grace.
(Romans 6.1-14).

of its own philosophy, God in His wisdom
was pleased through the foolishness of
preaching (salvation, procured by Christ
and to be had through Him), to save
those who believed (trusted in and

He said to them, But who do you
say that I am?
Simon Peter replied, You are the
Christ, the Son of the living God.
Then Jesus answered him, Blessed
are you, Simon Bar-Jonah. For
flesh and blood have not revealed
this to you, but My Father Who is
in heaven.
And I tell you, you are Peter, and on
this rock I will build My church, and
the gates of Hades shall not overpower it.
I will give you the keys of the kingdom of
heaven and whatever you bind on earth
must be what is already bound in heaven;
and whatever you loose on earth must be
what is already loosed in heaven.
(Matthew 16.15-19).

Simon Peter answered,
Lord, to whom shall we
go? You have the words
of eternal life.
And we have learned and
believe, and trust and we have
come to know that You are the
Holy One of God, the Christ,
the Son of the living God.
(John 6.68 & 69).
HALLELUJAH! THANK YOU LORD JESUS FOREVERMORE!
The cup of blessing of wine
at the Lord’s Supper upon
which we ask God’s blessing,
does it not mean that in
drinking we participate in
and share a fellowship, a
communion in the blood of Christ,
the Messiah? The bread which we
break, does it not mean that in eating
it we participate in and share a fellowship,
a communion in the body of Christ?
For we no matter how numerous we are,
are one body, because we all partake of the
one Bread (the One Whom the communion
bread represents).
(I. Corinthians 10.16 & 17).
