KINDLY AFFECTIONATE

Monday, May 31st, 2010

“Be kindly affectionate to one another

with brotherly love, in honor giving

preference to one another.

Not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit,

serving the Lord.

Rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation,

continuing steadfastly in prayer.

Distributing to the needs of the saints,

given to hospitality.

Rejoice with those who rejoice, and

weep with those who weep.

Be of the same mind toward one

another. Do not set your mind on

high things, but associate with the

humble. Do not be wise in your own

opinion.

Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard

for good things in the sight of all men.

If it is possible, as much as depends on you

live peaceably with all men.

Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather

give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance

is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord.

Therefore “If your enemy hungers, feed him;

if he thirsts, give him a drink; for in so doing

you will heap coals of fire on his head.”

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome

evil with good.”

(Romans 12.10-21).

AMEN!

“Let all bitterness and indignation and wrath

(passion, rage, bad temper) and resentment

(anger, animosity) and quarreling (brawling,

clamor,contention) and slander (evil-speaking,

abusive or blasphemous language) be banished

from you, with all malice (strife, ill will, or

baseness of any kind).

And become useful, helpful and kind to one

another, tenderhearted (compassionate,

understanding, loving-hearted), forgiving

one another (readily and freely), as God in

Christ forgave you.”

(Ephesians 4.31 and 32).

SECRET REVEALED

Saturday, May 29th, 2010

“In it I became a minister in accordance with the

divine stewardship which was entrusted to me

for you, to make the Word of God fully known-

The mystery of which was hidden for ages and

generations, but is now revealed to His saints.

To whom God was pleased to make known how

great for the Gentiles are the riches of the glory

of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the Hope

of glory.”

(Colossians 1.25-27).

DRAWN

Friday, May 28th, 2010

“We pray that you may be invigorated and strengthened

with all power according to His glorious might, for the

attaining of steadfastness and patience with joy,

Giving thanks to the Father, Who has qualified and

made us fit to share the portion which is the inheritance

of the saints in the Light.

The Father has delivered and drawn us to Himself out of

the control and the dominion of darkness and has

transferred us into the kingdom of His beloved Son,

In Whom we have our redemption through His blood,

the forgiveness of our sins.”

(Colossians 1.11-14).

IN EVERY NATION

Thursday, May 27th, 2010

“And Peter opened his mouth and said:

‘Most certainly and thoroughly I now

perceive and understand that God shows

no partiality and is no respecter of persons.

But in every nation he who venerates and

has a reverential fear of God, treating Him

with worshipful obedience and living

uprightly, is acceptable to Him and sure

of being received and welcomed by Him.

You know the contents of the message

which He sent to Israel, announcing the

good news of peace by Jesus Christ, Who

is Lord of all-

The same message which was proclaimed

throughout Judea, starting from Galilee

after the baptism preached by John-

How God anointed and consecrated Jesus

of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with

strength and ability and power; how He

went about doing good and, in particular,

curing all who were harassed and

oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

And we are eye and ear witnesses of

everything that He did both in the land of

the Jews and in Jerusalem. And yet they

put Him out of the way by hanging Him

on a tree;

But God raised Him to life on the third day

and caused Him to be manifest.

Not by all the people but to us who were

chosen beforehand by God as witnesses,

who ate and drank with Him after He arose

from the dead.

And He charged us to preach to the people

and to bear solemn testimony that He is the

God-appointed and God-ordained Judge of

the living and the dead.

To Him all the prophets testify that everyone

who believes in Him receives forgiveness of

sins through His name.’

While Peter was still speaking these words,

the Holy Spirit fell on all who were listening,

to the message”

(Acts 10.34-44).

YOUR WALK

“That you may walk in a manner worthy of the Lord,

fully pleasing to Him and desiring to please Him in

all things, bearing fruit in every good work and

steadily growing and increasing in and by the

knowledge of God.”

PRECIOUS AND EXCEEDINGLY GREAT

Tuesday, May 25th, 2010

“Simon Peter, a servant and special messenger of Jesus Christ,

to those who have received like precious faith with ourselves

in and through the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus

Christ.

May grace and peace be multiplied to you in the full, personal

and precise knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.

For His divine power has bestowed upon us all things that are

requisite to life and godliness, through the full and personal

knowledge of Him Who called us by and to His own glory and

excellence.

By means of these He has bestowed on us His precious and

exceedingly great promises, so that through them you may

escape from the decay that is in the world because of

covetousness, and become sharers of the divine nature.

(II. Peter 1.1-4).

HEALED

Monday, May 24th, 2010

For even to this were you called.

For Christ suffered for you, leaving

you, His personal example, so that

you should follow in His steps.

He was guilty of no sin, neither was

deceit ever found on His lips.

When He was reviled and insulted,

He did not revile or insult in return.

He was abused and suffered,

He made no threats; but He entrusted

Himself to Him Who judges fairly.

He personally bore our sins in His body

on the tree, that we might die to sin and

live to righteousness. By His wounds you

have been healed.

For you were going astray like sheep, but

now you have come back to the Shepherd

and Guardian of your souls.”

(I. Peter 2. 21-25).

SURELY

Sunday, May 23rd, 2010

“Surely He has borne our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses

and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains, yet we

considered Him stricken, smitten and afflicted by God.

But He was wounded for our transgressions.

He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities.

The chastisement needed to obtain peace and

well-being for us was upon Him and with the stripes that

wounded Him we are healed and made whole.

All we like sheep have gone astray, we have turned

every one to his own way; and the Lord has caused

the iniquity of us all to fall on Him.

He was oppressed and He was afflicted.

Yet He did not open His mouth

Like a lamb that is led to slaughter,

And like a sheep that is silent before its shearers,

So He did not open His mouth.

By oppression and judgment He was taken away;

And as for His generation, who considered

That He was cut off out of the land of the living

For the transgression of my people,

to whom the stroke was due?

His grave was assigned with wicked men,

Yet He was with a rich man in His death,

Because He had done no violence,

Nor was there any deceit in His mouth.

But the Lord was pleased

To crush Him, putting Him to grief;

If He would render Himself as a guilt offering,

He will see His offspring,

He will prolong His days,

And the good pleasure of the Lord

will prosper in His hand.

As a result of the anguish of His soul,

He will see it and be satisfied;

By His knowledge the Righteous One,

My Servant, will justify the many,

As He will bear their iniquities.

Therefore, I will allot Him a portion

with the great,

And He will divide the booty with the strong;

Because He poured out Himself to death,

And was numbered with the transgressors;

Yet He Himself bore the sin of many,

And interceded for the transgressors.”

(Isaiah 53.4-12).

GREAT AND IMPORTANT

Saturday, May 22nd, 2010

“Great and important and weighty, we confess,

is the hidden truth of godliness.

God was made visible in human flesh, justified

and vindicated in the Holy Spirit, was seen by

angels, preached among the nations, believed

on in the world, and taken up in glory.”

(I. Timothy 3.16)
