Intellectually Stimulating and Rewarding Spiritual Rebirth

Led by the Spirit, we understand that we are now sons of God.

This is our new identity when we are in communion with Jesus the Christ.

We know He became one of us and did not count equality with

God something to hold on and grasp to, but He emptied Himself

of His divine privileges and prerogatives. This is known as Kenosis.

He came to identify with humanity as a human, as a servant and

experienced the death on the cross by being identified as a criminal.

When we embrace Him as our Lord and Savior we take on His identity

and are in union with Him. We then have His thought pattern and become like

minded with Jesus Christ:

“Let the same mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus,

who. though He was in the form of God, did not regard

equality with God as something to be exploited, but emptied

Himself, taking the form of a slave, being born in human likeness.

And being found in human form, He humbled Himself and became

obedient to the point of death- even death on a cross.

Therefore God has also highly exalted Him and gave Him the name

that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee

should bend, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every

tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord , to the glory of God

the Father.

(Philippians 2;5-11).

His mind is present in the born-again Spirit-filled Christians.

This is the identity of the reborn sons of God. Because Christ

in you is the only hope of glory. Jesus Christ gives you His life,

so the life you live should be lived to glorify Him and serve Him.

He has redeemed us from sin and death and given us eternal life.

As St. Paul declares: I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live,

but the life that I live is the life of Christ Jesus the Eternal Son of God

Who gave His life for me. Since the Holy Spirit Who raised Jesus Christ

dwells in you, the same Spirit will quicken your mortal body.

The Holy Spirit gives you life and freedom. Where the Spirit of the Lord

is there is freedom. The Holy Spirit is the Helper, the Advocate, the

Comforter and the Spirit of adoption of wisdom and revelation.

You can have freedom from fear.

“You have not received the Spirit of bondage again unto fear; but you

have received the Spirit of adoption whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

This is because the love of God is shed abroad in our heart by the

Holy Spirit and we know He is our Daddy. God is love and He is perfect.

Perfect love casts out fear. Fear has torment, but God’s divine love

dispels fear. This has tremendous implications of immense potential.

The vanity and futility of thought, worry, anxiety simply vanish.

The emptiness and desperation of dissatisfaction disappear.

The bondage to the mere physical with its impotence is  now gone.

Gone are the limitations of time, space, physicality with the preoccupations

of mortality and transitory, frustrating experience, illusory existence

of unregenerate material life.

Because Jesus Christ is fully human and fully divine and we are recreated

in His Spiritual image we now are full-fledged sons of God. No longer

strangers or aliens, no longer subjects or slaves, no longer clinging to

the fanaticism of yesteryear, the dogmas of modernism, the crutch of

postmodernism. You are truly free. As the son or daughter of God you

receive the fullness of the blessedness and favor of God to His glory.

God has not given us a spirit of fear, but the Spirit of power, love and a

sound mind.

This is the Spirit of Sonship freely given through our Lord and Savior

Jesus the Christ. The Spirit bears witness with our spirit that we are

children of God.

” Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether

they are from God; for many false prophets have gone out into the world.

By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus

has come in the flesh is from God, and every spirit that does not confess

Jesus is not from God. And this is the spirit of the antichrist, of which

you have heard that is coming; and now it is already in the world.

Little children, you are from God, and have conquered them; for the

One Who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. They are

from the world; and therefore what they say is from the world, and the world

listens to them. We are from God. Whoever knows God listens to us, and

whoever is not from God does not listen to us. From this we know the

spirit of truth and the spirit of error.”

(I.John 4;1-6).

“Many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not

confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh; any such person is

the deceiver and the antichrist! Be on your guard, so that you do

not lose what we have worked for, but may receive a full reward.

Everyone who does not abide in the teaching of Christ, but goes

beyond it, does not have God; whoever abides in the teaching has

both the Father and the Son. Do not receive into the house or

welcome anyone who comes to you and does not bring this teaching;

for to welcome is to participate in the evil deeds of such a person.”

(II. John 7-11).

POINTS FOR MEDITATION AND PRAISE

1) Our freedom from spiritual and intellectual error is totally dependent

on abiding in Jesus the Christ Who as our Lord and Savior is the Way, the

Truth and the Life. He backs up all His assertions with the Holy Spirit, the

spirit of wisdom and revelation.

2) The Holy Spirit leads you into all truth. He guides us in the new creation.

He transforms us from glory to glory. Eye has not seen, ear has not heard,

neither has entered into the human mind the things God has prepared for us.

God reveals these to us by His Spirit.

Prepare for the adventure of eternity. The most  intellectually and

spiritually rewarding new life, the Life! Life in the Light!

Freely

What then are we to say about this things?

If God is for us, who is against us?

He who did not withhold His own Son,

but gave Him  up for all of us, will He

not with Him also give us everything else?

(Romans 8; 31 and 32).

The pivotal point in our lives is the Point

we come to understand that we have peace with God,

not through our efforts, nor through merit, ability, beauty,

aptitude or as a reward for anything we have ever done.

We have peace with God only because of Who He is.

Because He is love and did not spare His Own, Eternal Son

Who is in the Bosom of the Father, we have peace with God.

This is why we read; ‘What then can we say to these things?’

A profound question, when we realize that God has already

spoken thus. We can rejoice. We can sing.We can dance. We can praise Him.

We exclaim, AMEN!

‘Si Deus pro nobis, quis contra nos?’. If God is  for us, who is against

us?

As we fix our eyes on Jesus, crucified for us, at the point where

sin, evil, Satan, the world, darkness, history and humanity came to

confront The Unknown God, we see Jesus, Who for the joy that was set

before Him endured the cross, despising the shame. He stands there

in our place to take on our sin, shame, desperation and death.

We see Him, the Captain of our Salvation confronting evil, sin and death

with His eternal righteousness, faithfulness and love.

At the nadir  of human history when men crucified the Lord we see

the apex of hope.

Instead of being against us He is for us. He takes away our pain,

distress, depression and deprivation and gives us all good things-freely!

We must totally rely on Him. Utterly and completely! We will never

stand alone! It is always His victory! Because He is risen and

ascended on high, seated on the right hand of God, He intercedes for

us. In Him we stand delivered! HALLELUJAH! BLESS HIS NAME FOREVER!

WE CAN SAY THIS

Sunday, January 10th, 2010

We Can Say This

But in fact Christ is raised from the dead, the first fruits

of those who have died. For since death came through

a human being, the resurrection of the dead has also come

through a human being; for as all die in Adam, so all will be

made alive in Christ. But each in his own order: Christ the

first fruits, then at His coming those who belong to Christ.

Then comes the end when He hands over the Kingdom to God the Father,

after He has destroyed every ruler and every authority and power.

For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet.

The last enemy to be destroyed is death. For ‘God has put all things

in subjection under His feet.’ But when it says , ‘All things are put in

subjection,’ it is plain that this does not include the one who put all

things in subjection under Him. When all things are subjected to Him,

then the Son Himself will also be subject to the One Who put all things

in subjection under Him, so that God may be all in all.

(I. Corinthians 15; 20-29).

The Son is always seeking to do the will of the Father and the Father

has put all power and authority under the Son.

“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them

in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded

you. And, remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

(Matthew 28;18-20). AMEN! HALLELUJAH!

Experience God’s Love

Experience God’s Love

What then are we to say about these things?

If God is for us, who is against us? He who did not

withhold His own Son, but gave Him up for all of us, will

He not with Him also give us everything else?

Who will bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God

who justifies. Who is to condemn? It is Christ Jesus, who died,

yes, who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who

interceedes for us. Who will separate us from the love of Christ?

Will hardship, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness,

or peril, or sword? As it is written,

“For your sake we are being

killed all day long;

we are accounted as sheep to

be slaughtered.’

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors

through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that

neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things

present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height,

nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able

to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

(Romans 8;31-39).

POINTS FOR MEDITATION AND PRAISE

1) God for us, God with us is IMMANUEL, JESUS THE CHRIST.

This is the BEST NEWS EVER.

Contrasted with the sin and darkness of the world, God’s righteousness

brings us to right standing with God.

Since GOD IS FOR US everything changes. Death is swallowed up in

victory. Darkness has dissipated. Hope is restored. We are more than

conquerors through Jesus the Christ Who took our place on the Cross.

Jesus tells us to ‘be of good cheer, for I have overcome the world’.

Since God is for us, no one and nothing can separate us from His love

that is in Christ Jesus. This is the central Truth of the Bible. This is

the point of His Invitation. This is the purpose of creation. The delivery

of creation from the futility of death, decay and destruction is the ultimate

message of prophecy.

Since God is for us; nature, history and humanity are now destined

to perfection and fulfillment in Christ Jesus. The point of it all is ‘that God

may be all in all’ (I.Corinthians 15.28). AMEN! HALLELUJAH!

Speak the Word

Saturday, January 9th, 2010

“The word is near you,

on your lips, and in your heart”

(that is, the word of faith we proclaim);

because if you confess with your lips that

Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart

that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

(Romans 10;8 and 9).

The words we speak are the promise of everlasting life

of salvation through the everlasting covenant.

Because this is the word of God, His word of promise,

based on His faithfulness. God is the original promise-keeper.

He keeps His every promise and His promise of Life everlasting with Him.

His Life transforms our lives. He is very near each and

every one of us; as near as our mouth. His word of salvation is

the Best News ever based on God’s righteousness,

His faithfulness and power to do exceeding abundantly above

and beyond all we can imagine, expect or think.

The Word Who Is Jesus the Christ is the first and the last, alpha and

omega, the beginning and the end, the author and perfecter of or faith. A day

in God’s house is far better than a thousand outside.

Speak The Truth in Love

Speak the Truth in Love

“Then Paul stood in front of the Aeropagus and said, ‘Athenians, I see

how extremely religious you are in every way. For as I went through the

city and looked carefully at the objects of your worship, I found among

them an altar with the inscription, ‘To an unknown god.’ What therefore you

worship as unknown, this I proclaim to you. The God Who made the world

and everything in it, He Who is Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in

shrines made by human hands, nor is He served by human hands, as though

He needed anything, since He Himself gives to all mortals life and breath and

all things. From one ancestor He made all nations to inhabit the whole earth,

and He allotted the times of their existence and the boundaries of the places

where they would live, so that they would search for God and perhaps grope

for Him and find Him- though indeed He is not far from each one of us.

For ‘In Him we live and move and have our being’; a seven some of your own

poets have said,

‘For we too are His offspring.’

Since we are God’s offspring, we ought not to think that the deity is like gold,

or silver or stone, an image formed by the art and imagination of mortals.

While God has overlooked the times of human ignorance, now He commands

all people everywhere to repent, because He has fixed a day on which He will

have the world judged in righteousness by a man whom He has appointed,

and of this He has given assurance to all by raising Him from the dead.”

(Acts17:22-31).

POINTS FOR MEDITATION AND PRAISE

1) We live at a time not very dissimilar to Paul’s day when there were many

opinions about God. Paul stood and proclaimed the Only True God and

Jesus Christ, the only way of salvation and the answered to mankind’s

problems, quests and yearnings.

2) “This is eternal life, that they may know you, the Only True God and

Jesus Christ whom You have sent.” (John 17:3).

3) Paul proclaimed this message with love and in a way that is tuned in

to his audience and their cultural background starting from where they

are spiritually and what they would already know and acknowledge,

then, he built a bridge to the Truth.

4) He acknowledged the fact that the Athenians were very religious. This

is because the many forms of worship, various concepts and traditions

evolved over time are man’s religion, man’s attempt to reach or discover

God. Here however, Paul is showing them how God has already revealed

Himself in Christ Jesus and there is no good reason for ignorance. He

says, ‘while God has overlooked the times of human ignorance, now He

commands people everywhere to repent.’ This is because God has in fact

revealed Himself fully in Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ ‘is the reflection of God’s

glory and the exact imprint of God’s very being, and He sustains all things

by His powerful word. When He had made purification for sins He sat down

at the right hand of the majesty on high,’ (Hebrews 1:3).

CALLING

CALLING

An amazing surprise, a wave of excitement and delight fill our hearts

as we find in God’s word that we are elected and called to be in His

Kingdom. We find out how good and how kind He is this King of kings and

Lord of lords Who adds us to His people, the Church His community of the

King of Israel. We find a line stretching all the way back to Abel, Seth,

Noah and Abraham. We find we are heirs with Jesus Christ Who Is the

Creator, Savior and Ruler of all. We find it amazing that we are indeed

included!

We find out that we can share this experience with others near and far,

past, present and future.

“The seventy returned with joy, saying, ‘Lord, in your name even the

demons submit to us !’ he said to them, ‘I watched Satan fall from heaven

like a flash of lightning. See, I have given you authority to tread on snakes

and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing will hurt

you. Nevertheless, do not rejoice at this, that the spirits submit to you,

but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.’”

(Luke 10: 17-20).

HALLELUJAH! WE PRAISE YOU AND THANK YOU LORD JESUS FOREVER!

WITNESS

WITNESS

As the message of the Best News Ever  first reaches us we become

transfixed on the Person of Jesus Christ and are transformed by Him.

We are no longer only bystanders to history or only informed about

the most pivotal event for humanity. This message, the Message of Who God

is and who you are changes everything. This changes humanity and

it also changes your life, because your life never means the same again.

You and your life means so much to God that He came to rescue you

from vanity and futility. He came to destroy sin and death, so you can

live with Him eternally. You do what prophets and apostles have

done. You believe and therefore you will speak. It is inevitable that at

some point you will be asked to explain the hope that lives in you.

Likewise the Bible is not a book of law or history or simply an account

of events past. It is a living word of witness to the True and Living God.

It is all about His Love, for God is love. Moved and led by the Holy Spirit

Who inspired the scripture you are moved to declare the Living Jesus

Christ to a dying and desperate world. The Church and the Christian hear

the voice of the Good Shepherd, the Holy Spirit directs the Holy Scripture

to our hearts. The word that set you free will dwell in you richly so that

you may declare the same word to set others free from fear, from tyranny

and from darkness, because he whom the Son sets free is free indeed and

where the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom, real freedom and ‘you will

know the truth and the truth shall set you free’ and the word of God can

not be imprisoned, it is like a two-edged sword dividing the joint and the

marrow, to reveal the thoughts and intents of the heart. The word

that proceeds from God will not return to Him void, but will accomplish

what it is intended to do.

“But we must always give thanks to God for you, brothers and sisters

beloved by the Lord, because God chose you as the first fruits for

salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and through belief in

the truth. For this purpose He called you through our proclamation

of the Good News, so that you may obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus

Christ. So then, brothers and sisters, stand firm and hold fast to the

traditions that you were taught by us, either by word of mouth or by

our letter.”

(II. Thessalonians 2:13).

AMEN!

NO BOAST ZONE

Saturday, January 2nd, 2010

NO BOAST ZONE

For by grace you have been saved through faith,

and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God

- not the result of works, so that no one may boast.

For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ

for good works, which God prepared in advance

to be our way of life.

(Ephesians 2: 8-10).

Not only we can never boast, because we have not

done anything to deserve salvation, we ourselves,

our lives and the details of our lives and our destiny

has been mapped out by God ahead of time to enable us

to perform those good works to maximize His glory.

Our new way of life aims to seek His glory, not ours.

You yourself are God’s workmanship, handiwork and

masterpiece!

HALLELUJAH! THANK YOU LORD JESUS!

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Friday, January 1st, 2010

Is there no balm in Gilead?

Is there no physician there?

Why then has the health of my poor people

not been restored?

(Jeremiah 8.22)

The great physician, our Healer is Jesus Christ. He is the same yesterday,

today and forever. He healed the lame, restored eyesight to the blind,

hearing to the deaf, speech to the dumb, mobility to the paralyzed and

resurrected the dead.

Whatever your situation, He is there to help you right now!

Ask Him. He will respond to your need. He is an ever present help

in time of need!

Happy new year!
