Abundant Life

Monday, August 31st, 2009

I am the door.

If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved

and will go in and out and find pasture.

The thief does not come except to steal,

kill and destroy. I have come that they

may have life, and that they may have

it more abundantly.

( John 10.9 and 10).

POINT FOR PRAYER

Jesus Christ to be acknowledged as Lord and Savior by everyone

and for His blessings of abundant life.

THE LOVE OF CHRIST COMPELS US

THE LOVE OF CHRIST COMPELS US

For the  love of Christ compels us,

because we judge thus, that if One

died for all, then all died,

And He died for all, that those

who live should live

no longer for themselves,

but for Him who died for them

and rose again.

( II. Corinthians 5.14 and 15).

POINTS FOR PRAYER

1) The love or charity of Jesus Christ urges or  compels us

2) We were reckoned as dead because of trespasses and sins

3) Jesus Christ died to atone for our sins

4) Jesus Christ rose again so that we can live with Him

5) We therefore live for Him empowered by the Holy Spirit

6) The life we live is actually His life

7) Remember the scripture which indicates

that we were crucified with Him, yet we live

and the life we live is now no longer ours, but

His life, because He died and granted us His

salvation and His life, so we can walk in newness

of life as new creations in Christ.

GLORIFIED

Friday, August 28th, 2009

For whom He foreknew, He predestined to be conformed

to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn

among many brethren.

Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called,

these He also justified and whom He justified, these He

also glorified.

( Romans 8.29 and 30).

Consider the following

1) God’s  foreknowledge

2) Being conformed to the image of Jesus

3) The cross and our justification

4) Being glorified as He is

These are amazing points to consider

MANIFESTATION OF GOD’S CHILDREN

Thursday, August 27th, 2009

Please read MANIFESTATION OF GOD’S CHILDREN

For we know that the whole creation

groans and labors

with birth pains together until now.

Not only that but we also who have

the first fruits of the Spirit

even we ourselves groan

within ourselves

eagerly

waiting for the adoption

the redemption of our body.

For we were saved in this hope

but hope that is seen is

not hope for why does one still

hope for what he sees

But if we hope for what

we do not see we eagerly wait

for it with perseverence.

Likewise the Spirit also helps in

our weaknesses.

For we do not know

what we should

pray for as we ought,

but the Spirit Himself

makes intercession

for us with groanings

which can not be uttered.

Now He who searches the hearts

 knows what the mind of

the Spirit is, because He makes

 intercession for the saints

according to the will of God.

And we know that all things work

together for good to

those who love God, to those who

are the called according

to His purpose.

(Romans 8.22-28).

 POINTS FOR REFLECTION

1) The groaning and laboring of nature

2) The firstfruits of the Spirit

3) The redemption of the body

4) Waiting in hope

5) The description of hope

6) Help from  the Holy Spirit

7) Intercession by the Holy Spirit

The answers to these questions are vitally important.

CHILDREN OF GOD

CHILDREN OF GOD

Therefore, brothers and sisters, we are debtors-

not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh.

For if you live according to the flesh you will die

but if by the Spirit you put to death the

deeds of the body, you will live.

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God,

these are the sons and daughters of God.

For you did not receive the Spirit of bondage

again to fear, but you received the Spirit of

adoption by whom we cry out, “Daddy, Father!”

The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit

that we are the children of God.

And if children, then heirs- heirs of God, and

joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with

Him, that we may also be glorified together.

(Romans 8.12-17).

POINTS TO CONSIDER

1) Implications of being born of the Spirit

(see John 3.5-6).

2) Living according to the flesh versus through the Spirit

3) The consequence of living according to the flesh

4 The advantage of living by the Spirit

5) The children of God

6) The spirit of bondage versus the Spirit of adoption

7) The consequence of being children of God

The divine truths here and the definite promises are

awesome.

BE FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT

BE FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT

Because the carnal mind is enmity against God,

for it is not subject to the law of God,

nor indeed can be.

So then, those who are in the flesh can not please God.

BE FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT

But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit,

if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you.

Now if anyone does not

have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.

And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin,

but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead

dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will

also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit

who dwells in you.

( Romans 6.7-11).

POINTS FOR MEDITATION

1) Carnal mind is against God

2) The problem of the carnal mind

3 The prerequisite of being in the Spirit

4) Definition of a spiritual person

5) The body is dead due to sin

6) The Holy Spirit is life

7) The Holy Spirit accomplishes the resurrection

MORE FREEDOM

Sunday, August 23rd, 2009

There is therefore now no condemnation
to those who are in Christ Jesus, who
do not walk according to the flesh, but
according to the Spirit.
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ
Jesus has made me free from the law
of sin and death.
For what the law could not do in that
it was weak through the flesh, God did
by sending His own Son in the likeness
of sinful flesh, on account of sin.

He condemned sin in the flesh,
that the righteous requirement of
the law might be fulfilled in us who
do not walk according to the flesh
but according to the Spirit.
For those who live according to the
flesh set their minds on the things
of the flesh, but those who live
according to the Spirit, the things
of the Spirit.
For to be carnally minded is death,
but to be spiritually minded is life
and peace.
( Romans 8.1-6).
POINTS FOR REFLECTION
1) The law of the Spirit of life in Jesus Christ
2) Your answer to the first question determines true freedom
3) The characteristics of true freedom
4 ) Jesus Christ accomplished our reconciliation
5 ) A carnal mind versus the spiritual mind
6 ) The result of  being spiritually minded

7) The reason most people don’t experience

more freedom, joy and happiness.

AMAZING LOVE

Friday, August 21st, 2009

Blessed be the God and Father
of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has
blessed us with every spiritual
blessing in the heavenly places
in Christ,
Just as He chose us in Him before
the foundation of the world, that
we should be holy and without blame
before Him in love,
Having predestinated us to adoption
as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself,
according to the good pleasure of
His will,
To the praise of the glory of His
grace, by which He made us
accepted in the Beloved.
(Ephesians 1.3-6).

POINTS FOR MEDITATION

Meditate and pray about deeper
and greater insight regarding these
verses. Share your thoughts and
discuss the insights you receive.

SING TO THE LORD

Thursday, August 20th, 2009

Oh come, let us sing to the Lord!
Let us shout joyfully to the Rock
of our salvation.

Let us come
before His presence with thanksgiving
let us shout joyfully to Him with
psalms.
(Ps.95:1-2).

RIGHTEOUS
Oh, sing to the Lord a new song!
For He has done marvelous things,
His right hand and His holy arm
have gained Him the victory.
The Lord has made known His
salvation.

His righteousness
He has revealed in the sight
of the nations.
( Psalm 98.1-2).

POINTS TO SING ABOUT

Consider the goodness and majesty
of our Lord.

Sing and celebrate His
love as revealed in the passion and
cross of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
He has saved us by His blood.
He reconciled us by His death
on the cross.
He made us alive by His
resurrection and He made us
to sit in heavenly places by
His ascension.

FORGIVEN
“Now we know that what ever
the law says, it says to those
who are under the law, that
every mouth may be stopped,
and all the world may become
guilty before God.
Therefore by the deeds of the
law no flesh will be justified
in His sight, for by the law is
the knowledge of sin.
But now the righteosness of God
apart from the law is revealed
being witnessed by the law and the
prophets.
Even the righteousness of God, through
faith in Jesus Christ, to all who believe.

For there is no difference

all have sinned and come short
of the glory of God,
Being justified freely by His grace
through the redemption that is
in Christ Jesus,
Whom God set forth as a
propitiation by His blood,
through faith, to demonstrate
His righteousness, because
in His forbearance God had
passed over the sins that were
previously committed,
To demonstrate at the present
time His righteousness, that He
might be just and the justifier of
the one who has faith in Jesus.
(Romans 3.19-26).
